Montevallo Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Thursday, 12/4/25 begins at 5:30 PM. Montevallo's Annual Christmas Parade, presented by Montevallo Chamber of Commerce, will kick off this Thursday, December 4 with the tree lighting at 5:30 PM on the post office lawn, followed by the parade rolling down Main Street at 6 PM. 
Montevallo Main Street will announce the winners of the 9th Annual Storefront Decorating Contest at the Tree Lighting before parade, recognizing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places in both the merchant and student group categories, as well as the Mayor's Choice and Junior Mayor's Choice.

Polling is open for all Montevallo registered voters at the Boys and Girls Club, 420 Vine St., Montevallo, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. today.
The City of Montevallo will post unofficial election results on Tuesday evening, August 26, 2025, as soon as the results are tabulated by City Clerk/Treasurer, Steve Gilbert. We anticipate the results to be posted between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. this evening.
Please note that election night results are considered unofficial until the canvassing meeting of the Montevallo City Council on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.

Montevallo's National Night Out The National Night Out event in Montevallo will be held at Orr Park/ Pecan Grove on October 22nd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Last year's event was a great success, with a variety of community resources and a new attendance record. Our National Night Out event celebrates the strength and unity of our community. With the generous support of our event sponsors, we are ready to host another free, family-friendly event. Montevallo Fire and Rescue would like to invite you and your family to our 50th Annual Fire Prevention Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday October 5th at 10am starting from Island Street and Main Street going toward Shelby Street.
Immediately following the parade on Main Street you are encouraged to join us in Orr Park. There will be events for the kids and vendors. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there this year.

Crews will begin demolition of the restroom building in Orr Park later this week. This will affect the walking track in the area of the large pavilion. -- Sections of the walking path will temporarily be closed to complete this work. Construction of a new restroom facility will begin soon. Thanks for your patience during this process.
