This the 6th day of July, 2020, notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 an election for the purpose of electing a mayor and city council for the City of Montevallo, Alabama will be held and that all registed and qualified electors of the state who reside within the corporate limits of Montevallo, Alabama, and have resided therein for 30 days or more immediately preceding the date of the electiona dn who are qualified to vote in the county precinct which embraces and covers that part of the corporate liits of the city in which the elector resides will be authorized to participate in the election.
The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 7:00 p.m. at the following locations:

If necessary, a run-off election will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.
Any qualified elector who will have resided within the district for whick he or she seeks election for a period of at least 90 days on Election Day may qualify to run for office by filing with the City Clerk the appropriate forms and paying any appropriate fees, as otherwise provided by law.
Candidate filing opens at 8:00 a.m. on July 7th, 2020. Candidates are required to file a statement of candidacy with the City Clerk. Deadline to file as a candidate in the City Clerk's Office at City Hall is 5:00 p.m. on July 21, 2020.
